Terms and Conditions
Fees'
There is an enrolment fee of $30.00 to be paid to secure a place in the school. This fee must be paid before the lesson begins and is non refundable. This fee will be applied to new students and students who have stopped lessons for more than 2 Terms. Tuition fees, based on the school term schedule must be paid in full, on or before the first lesson of each term and are non– refundable. Allowances are made for public holidays. A discount will apply where a student has been scheduled for more than one lesson per week and it will be reflected in the invoice. A late payment of $25.00 will be charged to unpaid invoices after 3 scheduled lessons since the start of the term, and we will charge for the costs of recovery of any amount overdue if necessary.Fees can be paid on line for the entire term and upon confirmation of schedule.
Absences
If your child is going to be missing a lesson for the term, let the teacher know on the first day of the lesson. Please note that this is the only time we will accommodate for necessary invoice adjustments. Credits will not be given for individual lessons missed from then on, however it is in the teacher’s discretion if they are able to provide a make up lesson for your child. For group lessons, there may be an alternative class at the same level that they could attend for that week. If there is no alternative class, the teacher will give you the homework by other means necessary. No make up classes are given for the lessons missed in group classes.In the event of a teacher’s absence, we reserve the right to provide a substitute teacher. The number of weeks invoiced for need to be attended to within the term.
Student Assessment for Group Lessons
At the end of every Term an assessment or recommendation for re–grouping based on skills is made by the teacher, which will result in change of groups. .No student is allowed to change course or programme within the term.
Parent/Guardian Lesson Attendance
A parent/guardian is encouraged to attend classes with the child, especially those doing the Junior Level. It is essential that the same parent/guardian come to class every week, unless it is just the odd time when someone is ill or away.
Holiday Lessons
Regular lessons stop during the holidays. Holiday lessons can be arranged on request.
Visitors
Techniques Music Academy will not be held responsible for any student before or after the lesson time. Visitors or members of the family are welcome in the classroom when pre–arranged by the teacher with the education director.
